Coach Brandon Musgrave

My name is Brandon Musgrave and I was born in California but raised in Tucson, AZ. I began pitching at a young age and was the kid growing up who threw pretty hard and had a wicked curveball. The issue was, no one ever showed or coached me on the proper mechanics of pitching. I was also throwing curveballs with poor mechanics, at way too young of an age. Combine these issues with the fact there were no pitch limits and you have a recipe for disaster. By my late teens, my arm had been severely damaged. I suffered from severe elbow tendonitis and finally a torn UCL. Because of these injuries, I gave up on my dream of playing college baseball and joined the military.

Later in life, I took over as the pitching coach for a travel baseball team. A few years later, as my daughters started playing softball, I started studying and coaching fastpitch softball pitching as well. I currently have over 10 years experience coaching club baseball and fastpitch softball at the club and high school level. I am an experienced coach of all aspects of the game, but I specialize as a pitching coach.

It is my mission to help those athletes who want to fulfill their potential as pitchers. Due to my first hand experience with pitching injuries from improper pitching mechanics, I take a scientific and bio-mechanics based approach to coaching, focusing on proper mechanics, arm care, flexibility, strength, and conditioning.
